Tomato

Tomato cultivation is a classic at Naturcharc. We have been cultivating it for more than 15 years in almost all
ts varieties. We will continue relying on this crop due to the different
arieties in search of a taste of excellence.

Although the origin is Andean, it is from Mexico where this crop was spread. The Aztec civilization cultivated and marketed it when the New World was discovered. It was brought to Europe in the 16th century more as an ornamental plant. In Spain, at the end of the 18th century, tomatoes were grown in
umerous orchards and gardens.

The tomato is among the low-calorie foods since 100 g of this food contain only 22.17 kcal.

This fruit brings many nutritional benefits. As for the vitamin content, ripe tomatoes are rich in provitamin A (in the form of beta-carotenes), vitamin C and vitamin E, both with antioxidant and protective effects on bodily processes. Tomatoes are also rich in lycopene. This substance is what gives the tomato its intense red color and has high antioxidant properties.

The consumption of this substance protects against cancer and cardiovascular diseases and also favors the immune response. It also helps regulate blood cholesterol levels.

At Naturcharc we sell round tomatoes, plum tomatoes on the vine
omatoes and rebellion tomatoes.
