Naturcharc sponsors theII Solidarity Race ‘La Moruna’
The commitment to our environment and homeland is an important part of Naturcharc’s philosophy. But we are also big promoters of sports and healthy living, be it in the field of food or physical activity. Among other things, we sponsor sporting events to promote healthy habits, such as the II Solidarity Race ‘La Moruna’, organized by the Nuevo Rumbo association for the prevention of addictions.
It is a sporting event that will take place on Sunday, April 26. The registration costs €12 and benefits the activities of the group that organizes it. The route, 17 kilometers long, will link two natural sites that are among the best known and most visited of the Cabo de Gata Natural Park in Almería. One is Monsul Beach and the other is the small town of Isleta del Moro. About 300 people are expected to participate between the different categories.
There will be a hiking trail that will start at 9:00 a.m. and a running race that will take off at 10:15 a.m. The estimated time for the running race is two hours and for the hiking trail it is three and a half hours. Finally, a kids race at 12 noon is also planned. Both men and women over the age of 14 can sign up for either the running or hiking routes, without the need of sponsors.
Along the way, in addition to being able to enjoy the beauty of the natural park, it will also allow racers to see important cultural enclaves, such as San Felipe Castle in Los Escullos. A construction made in the 18th century in the time of King Carlos III. No matter what, the racers get to see some of the jewels of the natural park while exercising. An insurmountable combination.
Being held in a protected environment, participants must take special care of their surroundings. The natural park is an ecological jewel of incalculable value and is one of the great attractions of the province of Almeria. Therefore, the route will be duly marked and there will be designated places to leave any waste that can be generated during the race. Every detail has been reviewed with the relevant authorizations.
Sport Sponsorship
At Naturcharc, the promotion of sport is a constant. We have supported other sports activities carried out in our area including our municipality of Níjar as well as in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park. We’ve recently sponsored the Naturcharc Trophy we celebrated with the El Ejido Tennis Club and we are currently supporting a young tennis star, María Rubio.
Naturcharc is a pioneer in the promotion of organic farming in the province of Almeria, with a complete production of organic fruits and vegetables that has all the ecological quality certifications. In our farms we reuse the vegetable remains for the manufacturing of organic compost. It is an efficient and respectful way to boost the growth of the plants and to feed all of our production.
